Help with setup, sign-in, mobile keyboard access, and billing.

For desktop, download the Mac or Windows app from aitype.work and launch it once installation finishes. On Mac, AiType lives in the menu bar. On Windows, it runs from the system tray near the clock.

On Mac, AiType needs Accessibility permission to detect the Fn key globally. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and enable AiType. On Windows, open the tray icon, check your shortcut in Settings, and make sure AiType is running before you hold the trigger key.

Make sure you installed AiType to /Applications (not run from the DMG directly). Re-launch, then press Fn once - macOS will prompt for microphone access.

On desktop, open Settings from the menu bar icon on Mac or the system tray icon on Windows, enter your email, and AiType will send a 6-digit code right inside the app. If AiType gave you an access key, you can paste that instead. On mobile, download AiType from the App Store or Google Play, open the app, and sign in there first so the keyboard can use your account.

Open AiType Settings from the menu bar icon on Mac or the tray icon on Windows and look for the shortcut setting. You can change the hold key from Fn or the current default to another key that fits your workflow.

Mac and Windows accounts can start with a 14-day no-card trial when offered. After that, desktop billing only starts if you choose a Stripe plan. On iPhone and Android, subscriptions and any introductory offers are purchased and billed through Apple or Google Play.

On iPhone, open AiType, go to Account, and tap Manage in App Store. On Android, use Manage Subscription inside AiType to open the Google Play subscription page. On Mac or Windows, use Manage Subscription to open the right subscription page. Mobile plans stay in the store you subscribed through, while desktop and team billing open the web billing page. If you were given a shared access key, that access is managed by the person or team that issued it.

Access keys can be pasted into AiType on iPhone, Mac, or Windows. They are useful for shared team access, tester access, or time-limited access granted by AiType. Some shared keys expire automatically and may not have a separate billing page.

If you subscribed on iPhone, cancel in your App Store subscriptions. If you subscribed on Android, cancel in Google Play subscriptions. For desktop or team billing, cancel from the billing page or use the billing contact form.

Download AiType from the App Store, install the app on your iPhone, sign in, then open the Setup tab inside the app.

Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard…, choose AiType, then tap AiType in the keyboard list and turn on Allow Full Access.

Apple does not let custom keyboard extensions access the microphone directly. AiType briefly opens its iPhone app to record and transcribe, then sends the cleaned text back into the keyboard.

Copy the messages you want to answer, switch to the AiType keyboard, and tap Reply. AiType uses the copied conversation to draft a short, natural response.

They live in the toolbar above the keys. That row gives you Reply, Ai rewrite, saved clips, voice history, contact search, a language menu, GIF search, and emoji without leaving the conversation.

Download AiType from Google Play, install the app, and open it once.

Open the AiType app, use the setup flow to enable AiType in Android keyboard settings, then select AiType as your active keyboard from the system keyboard picker.

Android still controls the system input picker. If you see the system keyboard switcher, select AiType there. Language and Ai writing preferences should be changed inside AiType settings, not with the system keyboard switch button.

Open the toolbar above the keys to use GIF search, contacts, Ai chat, Reply, saved clipboard, and voice history. Contacts may prompt for permission the first time so AiType can search your real phone contacts.

Open AiType, go to your account area, and use Manage Subscription to jump to the Google Play subscription page for your account.
